Sungai Lembing is famous for a history of Mining, Chinese Miner, The World Longest under ground Mining Tunnel and The World deepest Mining. One will need to reach Sungai Lembing Town, wooden shop house, quiet, some shop ongoing renovation into small hotel, senior age manning their shops, restaurant. Most resort style retreat are located further inside the Jungle that needs 4x4 transporter. Sungai Lembing have so much more to showcase, 2Day is not enough, but you may start with this 2Day first. Sungai Lembing is a very famous former Tin Mining town located about 40kms from the
State Capital of Pahang, Kuantan. Lembing is a Malay Word for Spear and Sungai means River. Legend has it that one day a local ruler went for bath at the river with his few personal bodyguard during the dawn, while he was taking his bath, he drop his soap and when he reaches his hand deep into the based of the river, he suddenly saw a vision of spear floating down the river. Thus the town was named after his vision.

TIN MINE
Sungai Lembing is famous for Tin Mine and it is one of Malaysia top producer of Tin during it's heydays from 1960s - 1980s, however what is shocking it that, all tin are mined from not Open Cast Mining but Tunneling. It is said that in total for all the kilometer of Tunnel, total 322 kilometer long. This is a world record but not verified, this is shocking, worth a visit to see by oneself. The deepest point was 700 meters deep. RM 15 per person for adult, take a short train ride into the tunnel, then walk through the time tunnel, this is the actual Mining Tunnel dug, feel the chill air and quietness but it is sturdy, be ready to get some water drop from the ceiling as this tunnel are within the hill. Brief History are projected on light boxes, make it an effort to stop and read the brief, interesting.

PANORAMA HILL
Panorama Hill located nearby Sungai Lembing Town, beside the Museum. This is the spot to view the spectacular sunrise on daily basis unless during rainy days. Beside this Hill you will notice that there is a old but working hanging bridge that local use to commute to and fro to reach from each end. Visitors usually will not miss the chance to cross this bridge like it will brings good luck, this is the most photograph hanging bridge in Pahang State. You haven't been to Sungai Lembing should you have not walk on this hanging Bridge, get a photo with oneself in it to show your friend, it is beautiful.

PELANGI WATERFALLS
Pelangi Waterfalls located inside the Jungle, 45 minutes by 4x4 Off Road from Sungai Lembing Town and another 30-45 minutes Walking, trekking. be prepared to do River Crossing, sometimes can be waist deep, walk on damp path and at final stages have to walk on dry river path naturally consisted of stone. Make sure you wear proper Rubber Shoes, no slippers or sport shoes advisable, it is proven Rubber Shoes though looks weird but it help when one crossing river and walking on slippery stone surface it stick sturdy.

Gradually the path become rocky and higher and higher. One have to step on slippery rock surface and 50 meters toward the Waterfalls, one are welcome by the misty water droplet generated from Pelangi Waterfalls. It is refreshing and wet welcome to reach the plateau, you will be welcome by the pool. It is such beautiful waterfalls more than 10 storey height with water flowing down from it's height producing the mist and water droplets and generating the swirling wind blowing towards visitors. Once sun-rise, the lucky one will be more amaze and awed by the Rainbow which famously known as Pelangi in local language.

Usually one will be served instant cup noodles and hot coffee, water come from the Pelangi Waterfalls itself. Don't want to get all hours wet and cold, choose to sit on right side of Pelangi Waterfalls (facing Waterfalls) to get some cold off you.
